Profile-Maureen Legendre

I started working in the Markovitz lab in July, 2001, having previously completed my bachelor’s degree at the University of Michigan - Dearborn with a B.S. in Biochemistry.

I have been working in various basic science research labs at the University of Michigan since 1985 and am currently the lab manager for the Markovitz Lab. I also help with projects studying banana lectin and its use as an antiviral, and the DEK and vimentin proteins and their involvement in certain autoimmune disorders.

When I am not in the lab, I enjoy various arts and crafts – drawing, sewing, crocheting/knitting/ needlework, building model train dioramas, and music.
